class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>When I was a teacher in Newcastle upon Tyne, I woke up one morning and thought \u201cI must move to a colder and wetter place\u201d so here I am in Edinburgh. I actually moved to Edinburgh because I fell in love with a Scotsman but at the time there were no teaching jobs available, so I needed to look for a new career. But what can a wood and metalwork teacher do?<\/p><p><br \/>In 2010 I felt the need for a change that still involved working with and caring for people. Care in the community seemed to be my perfect choice but at first, I didn\u2019t have a good experience. I was about to head in another direction when I met a lady who showed me what care could and should be all about and since then I have embraced this world but also tried to help improve it on the way.<br \/>Working my way up through the ranks I have been a registered manager since 2016 in various companies.<br \/>I have finally found a company and a business owner who actually has the same values that I have.<br \/>The workforce in the care industry should be celebrated and made to feel valued and this is what we at Continuity Care Scotland do. I have always thought that if I look after my support workers they will look after my clients.
